Adventures in Indiana: Weekend in Louisville

James and I spent the past weekend in Louisville, a rather quick trip. We left town very late Saturday morning, around 7 a.m. and arrived at my parent's home around 1 p.m. Sometime after arriving I took a one hour nap because I didn't want to spend the entire weekend sleeping. It was so warm in Louisville! I mean it was probably 50 degrees but it felt warm and I was very comfortable all weekend in a sweater and a hoodie. Not the case for this week...

On Sunday we got up early (early for us at least) and made it out to some shops before everything closed at 6pm. We visited a peddler's mall since I saw a pin the day before and didn't purchase it. I was lucky it was still there when we went back. Afterwards, I took James to Hancock's fabrics - there's one or two in Chicago but none out here - so he could see another sewing store. It was glorious! They were having a pattern sale - 5 for $5 on Simplicity patterns and 3 for $5 on Butterick patterns. Guess what we spent $10 on? Joann Fabrics is having a President's Day sale this weekend - looking forward to buying fabric for my patterns!

James has already started on two of the patterns. I'm pretty excited that my wardrobe is going to have more custom pieces with reissued vintage patterns in fabrics of my choice! I'll be sure to share when the items are finished!
