Pinup 101: Hairstyle How-To's - 10 Minute or Less Styles

I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend! I can't believe it's Monday so soon! Today started off not routinely at all but back on track - a great way to start the week back. Ha ha! For the new series, I'm going to showcase a different style each Monday with difficulty increasing each week - if you're experienced with hair then it's a nice refresher and for the beginner easy to follow along! Today's style is just that - nice and easy, great for mornings like today when getting back into the swing is more difficult than it should be.

Pinup Hair for Beginners

Three styles are featured in this video: kitten ears, a bouffant, and side faux bumper bangs. The Vintage Doll has cute bettie bangs - you can do these styles with or without bettie bangs. The last style - side bangs - shows how to hide bettie bangs for a different look. If you don't have bettie bangs you can leave your hair down in the front or tuck the bangs to the side (like in the side bang style). Additionally, if you have time, you can do a front barrel roll which is often my go to style.

Barrel Roll

This is a great style for gals without bettie bangs and really easy to do. The focus of this style is on the bangs so if you're in a hurry you can leave your hair straight (as in the video) and style with a scarf. Check out the video below which adds a pouf in the back for a twist on the look!

These are my favorite styles for when I'm in a hurry and the looks I learned intially when I started to do my own hair. I hope you all learned something new today!

Is there a certain style you would like featured? Post below, please!
