Adventures in Indiana: The Blues

Sometimes, living here really gets me down. It's very different from what I'm used to and not just in region. Sometimes, when I have the music playing on my favorite Pandora station, I feel like I'm at my grandmother's in her basement - until of course I leave the room and the house is different. It's not just homesickness but frustration. James and I are trying to make an apartment out of the basement. We'll have a lot of room when we clear all the excess stuff out. However, we keep encountering pests both four legged and eight legged. Every time it seems like we've found a solution a new intruder, of sorts, appears. While we can't let it get us down, we're certainly feeling very frustrated in our situation. Definitely looking forward to visiting Louisville this weekend - it'll be like a mini vacation. In the meantime, I'll just keep unpacking and cleaning the room. It'll help in the long run.

How do you deal with similar frustrations? What are some of your coping methods? Share below, please!
