Adventures in Indiana: Becoming a resident

Welcome to the next chapter of my life! This series, which I hope to be only two years as we save for our forever home down south, will chronicle my adventures or misadventures in my new surroundings of Northwestern Indiana.

For starters, I informed the post office that I moved back in June. According to the state of Indiana, I have 60 days after moving to get a new license, though I have to take the written exam. I have now slightly less than a month and I can't find my social security card. I love moving and the inability to find everything. I always think of that George Carlin skit of looking in the same place repeatedly hoping the lost item will appear because that's exactly what I do. In the meantime of searching for (my lost shaker of salt) my card I have found my cat's tags (helpful since she's in Louisville), some toiletries, socks, brushes, etc. but no card. I really hope to find it soon. I'd like to get this test out of the way as soon as possible and I would hate *HATE* to have to take the driving test again. I'm off to go read and search madly for my card.

How do you find things you've lost? What are your best tips/tricks to remembering where something is? Post below, please!

Miss Liz
